YouTuber Twomad’s cause of death has been revealed after he died at the age of 23 in February.

The creator – who was best known for making videos centred around gaming and community news – was found unresponsive at his home in Los Angeles six months ago on February 13.

Emergency services found Twomad – real name Muudea Sedik – after a welfare check was requested following days of silence from the YouTuber, who had also missed several appointments.

TMZ, who have obtained the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s report, have revealed his cause of death was from an accidental morphine overdose.

The US outlet say his cause of death was from morphine toxicity, and mitragynine – another drug commonly used to treat opioid withdrawal – also contributed to his death, according to the report.

His final video came in 2022, a comedy sketch titled ‘How I Became CEO of Radioshack’.

Sedik took an extended hiatus from the platform during 2022 and had not posted since.

Twomad – who was a controversial figure – rose to prominence on YouTube in 2018 when he began sharing clips of himself commentating video game streams.

He later moved to comedic skits, and had over 2 million subscribers on his account.

His most popular video – which received more than 16 million views – featured him ‘invading’ online college courses on Zoom during the pandemic. After this he appeared on BBC News to talk about Zoom security.

Following his death fellow YouTuber Jameskii accused Sedik of trying to murder him ‘multiple times’ and alleged that Sedik ‘was a rapist and a peadophile’.

Posting on X after Twomad’s death, he said: ‘Over the past few years he tried to murder me multiple times for helping the police & detectives in multiple states to investigate a lot of horrible things he’s done.’

In 2023, X user @Goldibell accused Sedik of sexually assaulting her, posting a stream of unanswered text messages from him.

‘[S]pam from twomad after I blocked him for sa’ing me, he made 6 burner numbers after this to also spam me on as well as instagram accounts and a twitter account. if you want proof i have all of it just ask you can see him send texts actively at the end of this clip,’ she wrote.

Sedik denied the allegations, writing that he ‘never sexually assaulted nobody in my life but not gonna stop crazy b**** from lying on youtuber guy.’

Goldibell posted a statement in the wake of Sedik’s death saying: ‘I’m not celebrating, I hope his family is ok, though I’m sure they aren’t. Losing your child is tragic no matter the circumstances.’
