Stephen Fry has reportedly agreed to sign up for Celebrity Traitors after Claudia Winkleman was ‘desperate’ for the TV legend on the cast.
The Blackadder actor, 67, has not yet signed on the dotted line for the BBC reality show but reportedly told bosses to ‘name a time and date and I’ll be there.’
The Hobbit star was approached for Celebrity Traitors because he was at the top of 52-year-old presenter Claudia’s wish list, it has been claimed.
A source told The Sun: ‘Claudia put Stephen right at the top of celebs she’d want on The Traitors and Stephen has made it clear he’d be game.
‘Stephen is a fan of the show and Claudia was desperate for him to be in it.
‘No contracts have been signed yet — but he told the show’s bosses to name a time and date and he’ll be there.’

Other stars on Claudia’s wish list reportedly include Only Connect quiz host Victoria Coren Mitchell, Ian Beale actor Adam Woodyatt and Hollywood star Andrew Garfield.
The celebrity spin-off of runaway hit The Traitors was confirmed by the BBC last week, with the broadcaster’s head of entertainment Kalpna Patel-Knight promising that it will ‘take the series to a whole new level.’
‘It will once again be fascinating for our audiences to see who’ll outwit, outplay, and outlast. Let the mind games begin!’ Patel-Night added.
A celebrity version of The Traitors has already aired in the US – and featured British stars including Love Island’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu and former speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow.

Mike Cotton, creative director unscripted at Studio Lambert and executive producer for The Traitors, also said: ‘We are thrilled to be inviting some celebrities into our castle to come and play the game.
‘Seeing famous faces navigate the round table or don the infamous green cloaks will be unmissable TV, and what a double treat for the fans with series four also confirmed too.
‘There’s a whole lot of exciting treachery and deception yet to come from the Highlands… Claudia’s going to have to pack some extra knitwear.’
