An iconic former face of CBBC has shared an update from her holiday, and she absolutely hasn’t changed 20 years later.
Kirsten O’Brien, who is now 52, is best known for presenting the CBBC art programme SMart.
These days, Kirsten can be heard presenting a show on BBC Radio Berkshire. On her socials, she loves sharing reunions with TV stars and fellow faces of CBBC including Barney Harwood and Michael Absalom.
Also on her Instagram, Kirsten enjoys sharing snaps of her holidays. Recently, she visited Crete and shared a wonderful picture capturing the stunning sunset behind her.
Kirsten can be seen in a green and white dress. She wrote alongside: ‘Ahhh Crete you were wonderful, can we do it all again? #notreadyforwinter.’
In the comments, Kirsten’s followers were sharing the love. She also received a message from an account called BalamoryUpdates – a page dedicated to the old children’s show.
‘You’ve never changed’, the account wrote.

Earlier this year, Kirsten paid tribute to her SMart co-presenter Mark Speight, who ended his life in 2008.
His death shook the nation, as many young people grew up loving his work on the art programme.
Speight became one of the first presenters of the CBBC show, working on it for 14 years from its first series in 1994.

Kirsten joined SMart in the late nineties and fans quickly grew to love their on-screen banter and friendship.
Paying tribute to Speight on April 7, Kirsten shared a sweet throwback photo of the two of them joking around.
She penned: ’16 years. What a gloriously funny man he was, and so loved.’
