Sergiu Orzac, stepson of the late Hairy Bikers’ Dave Myers, has got engaged.
Myers died in February of this year. At the time, his co-star Si King posted an emotional tribute on social media announcing the news.
The Barrow-in-Furness-born TV chef revealed he had been diagnosed with cancer in May 2022. He never confirmed what type of cancer he had.
Myers is survived by his wife Liliana Orzac, who he met in 2005, seven years after losing his fiancé Glen Howarth to stomach cancer.
Liliana and Myers married in 2011 with Si as best man. Myers is also survived by his two step-children, Iza and Sergiu.

‘Hi everyone, I’m afraid I bear some sad news,’ Si began in the statement on Instagram. ‘Most of you will know Dave has been fighting cancer for the past couple of years.
‘Last night, on 28th February 2024, with Lili, Dave’s wife, his family, close friend David and myself by his side, he passed away peacefully at home.’
Dave’s family have recently been blessed with some positivity and the chance to look forward to a happy event, as stepson Sergiu has proposed to his partner.
According to the Daily Mail, Sergiu shared a wonderful photo on his Instagram of himself and his fiancé wearing motorcycle helmets.

Dave and best friend Si met in the 1990s ’over a curry’ when they were both working in television production.
They went on to become household names in the noughties through their culinary adventures in various BBC shows.
Together, Si and Myers – along with their motorbikes, love for food and boundless charisma – made up one of the UK’s most beloved TV double acts.
