Floyd Mayweather Jr. was born on February 24, 1977, in Michigan, USA. His father was a boxer and passed on the genes to the future star. But Mayweather’s mother Deborah Sinclair was struggling with drug addiction, per Bleacher report.
It wasn’t an easy phase for the family. The drug addiction also put a huge laceration on Mayweather Sr. and Deborah Sinclair’s marital status. Things became so vile that Sinclair’s brother tried to kill Sr. but little Floyd Mayweather Jr. saved his fathers’ life.

In a violent altercation, Mayweather Sr. was on gunpoint by Deborah Sinclair’s brother when Jr was in his arms. While Sinclair was constantly trying to take away his son, Mayweather Sr. didn’t let her do that. So, the young Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his father could walk away safely.
The multi-millionaire boxer has a courteous relationship with his mother. Mayweather publicly handed her a million-dollar check in 2013, during his fight week with Canelo Alvarez.
