The Great British Bake Off is set to return, and here’s what we know about the upcoming season so far!
The weather is getting cooler and the autumn leaves have begun falling which can only mean one thing… Bake Off is set to return!
The beloved baking show has become a staple in the UK and each year fans enjoy week after week of naughty innuendos, soggy bottoms, and ridiculously difficult challenges.
This year is set to be no different as a dozen new bakers enter the tent and battle to win the Bake Off cake stand and kudos for being a champion – that’s right there’s no prize money involved.
It has been announced that the series will be returning later this month: ‘Bake Off is back. Tuesday 24th September. 8pm. Channel 4. #GBBO.’
As we wait for the new series, here’s what you need to know about the upcoming season…
When will Bake Off return?
The Great British Bake Off is set to return to screens at 8pm on Tuesday 24 September.
Who are the contestants on Bake Off 2024?
Sadly, not a lot is known just yet about the contestants of the fifteenth season of the show.
But as the release date of the season creeps closer, fans can expect an introduction sooner or later!
How to watch The Great British Bake Off?
After moving from the BBC to Channel 4 in 2017, the show has been available to watch live on Channel 4 and on the steaming service All4.
2024, marks the eighth season of the show on the platform, meaning it has had more seasons on Channel 4 than the BBC once this season airs.
The latest season will also mark Noel Fielding as the longest-standing host on the show after Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins hosted the series on the BBC for seven seasons.

Who will host The Great British Bake Off?
Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond will be returning to the tent to host the show and provide humour and support to the bakers.
Before Alison, Matt Lucas was Noel’s co-host, and before this, Sandi Toksvig was hosting alongside Noel.
Earlier this year, Sandi ruffled feathers as she said that hosting the show was giving her brain rot.
‘To be honest, I left Bake Off because I stopped having fun,’ she told Radio Times. ‘I was literally standing there watching meringues dry and thinking, “Oh my God, my brain is atrophying.”’
Dame Prue Leith responded to these claims and suggested Sandi was just being hyperbolic to be funny. Dam Prue told Times Radio: ‘I don’t think Sandi was so bored because she and I shared a wonderful green room in this posh house, which was where we filmed Bake Off and which was in the library.
‘And so we had this wonderful selection of books and she would knit little figures and dress them beautifully. Did you know she’s a knitter? She sells [them] for charity. So she made lots of those. She wrote a few scripts. She did a lot of other things.
‘I mean, I can see that for some people as clever as Sandi watching meringue dry is perhaps a bit heavy, but I think she just liked the joke. I don’t think she was really bored.’
