ITV star Ferne McCann has revealed that she will not be returning to her reality TV series Ferne McCann: My Family & Me after 13 series and seven years on the screen.

Ferne, 34, delighted fans with Ferne McCann: First Time Mum in 2017, a reality series that focused on her pregnancy and solo parenting with her daughter Sunday.

As her daughter grew up and she then met her partner Lorri Haines and had another daughter named Finty, the show evolved into Ferne McCann: My Family & Me.

The star has now revealed that she has made the ‘difficult’ decision to make the upcoming season her last.

‘After an incredible 13 series I have made the very difficult decision that this series of @fernemyfamandme will be my last.’

She thanked ITV and reflected on her time: ‘This show has been such an incredible part of my life for the last seven years and what a ride it has been filming from being pregnant with Sunday to now. Your support and loyalty to me and my family has, at times, lifted me more than you will ever know. Thank you.’

‘From the day I started filming I have poured my heart and soul in to the series. I genuinely feel like I’ve laughed, cried, loved and lived with you, sharing all the ups and downs.

The former Towie star detailed that she was specifically thinking about her daughter Sunday when making this decision as she wants her to ‘take her own path.’

‘This decision hasnt been an easy one 💔 but it feels like now is the right time for a change. I made this decision with my children (especially Sunday who has been on this full journey with me) in mind.

‘They are my absolute priority and Sunday is now at an age where she is very much her own little person and I want her to go out there and take her own path,’ she said.

Fans were devastated that her show was coming to an end and took to social media to share their dismay.

‘Going to miss this show sooooo much ❤️❤️,’ said joannabiggs93.

‘nooo, i absolutely love your show! please manage a return one day!’ said kia.rosina

Althoguh they were disappointed many understood her reasoning. ‘Well done ferne. Giving the children privacy is so important IMO,’ said juliette_julesy_julz.

‘Will miss the show Ferne, but totally get you’re doing what’s best for your girls 💖,’ added aimee.b.connell.

Looking towards other projects, it’s rumoured that Ferne is one of the first ‘confirmed’ stars for the 2025 series of Dancing On Ice.

It has been reported that the reality TV icon wants to ‘win over the public’ after previously being involved in a scandal when it was alleged she mocked an acid attack victim

In 2022, Ferne was heard in leaked voice notes calling the woman attacked with acid by her ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins ‘an ugly f*****g c**t.’

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s been a rough few years for Ferne but she has always been an ITV star, with her roots on Towie and then with her first steps into the mainstream on I’m A Celebrity in 2015.

‘So Dancing on Ice will be a chance for her to knuckle down, work hard and win over the public.

‘But her casting will raise eyebrows given her background.’

Ferne McCann: My Family & Me is Out this Wednesday on ITVBE at 9pm and ITV.
