Hollywood star Michael B Jordan and acclaimed filmmaker Ryan Coogler have reunited for upcoming horror thriller, Sinners – and fans already can’t get enough.
The gory vampire flick is set in 1930s Jim Crow-era South with a heavily under-the-wraps plot that only teases the bare minimum – including the Black Panther star’s dual role in the original film, which was shot in New Orleans.
The official synopsis reads: ‘Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.’
Taking to Instagram to share the official movie poster, the 37-year-old actor wrote: ‘Dance with the devil…and he’ll follow you home.’
The two-minute trailer opens out on Michael’s character, haunted by disturbing, violent, images, grabbing a rifle from a banged-up metal case.
‘I’ve been all over the world. I’ve seen men die in ways I didn’t even know was possible’ his character says in the next shot, this time dressed in a formal suit. But soon a supernatural threat takes over the town – as the survivors grow ever more desperate to escape its haunting clutches.

The trailer for the gothic horror ends with Michael’s character letting loose with his gun, a determined expression on his face.
The impressive cast list also includes Da 5 Bloods star Delroy Lindo, Back to Black’s Jack O’Connell, Dickinson actor Hailee Steinfeld and Babylon’s breakout star Li Jun Li.
Already expecting a high-calibre, heart-pounding production, fans have already dubbed the movie one of the most anticipated of next year, with the film set to come out in spring 2025.

Especially given director Ryan’s track record with films like Creed and the Black Panther franchise already under his belt. In total, he has landed two Academy Award nominations.
‘This is why cameras were invented. This is why movies are made,’ @jacklawler42 wrote on X.
‘This looks really good, love how we still hardly know anything about the plot. Great to see Ryan Coogler doing something original and now in the horror genre too. And what a cast. Easily one of my most anticipated of 2025 for sure,’ @willmovies added.
‘The cinematography. The mood. The music. The stacked talent. The fact that it barely tells you what’s going on. Coogler’s cooking up a storm here and I’m so pumped for this feast,’ @myerftw echoed.
Earlier this year the Hollywood heartthrob opened up about how his career skyrocketed to the next level after starring in Marvel’s Black Panther.
‘It’s insane. Kind of known before. I guess now, it’s just I can’t go anywhere. Malls are off limits,’ he told Revolt.
‘It’s incredible, especially with the kids and seeing the next generation and how excited they’ve been after seeing the movie and their reaction to me walking around has been.’
His involvement in the Creed franchise as the lead star has also gone from strength to strength.
When the third movie came out in 2023 it secured the highest-grossing opening for a sports movie in history.
Sinners will come out in cinemas on March 7, 2025.
