Strictly’s Nick Knowles, 62, reveals fiancée considered ending relationship, 33-Ruth Lawes-Entertainment – Metro

Strictly Come Dancing star Nick Knowles has revealed the distressing reason his fiancée Katie Dadzie has contemplated breaking off their relationship.
The DIY SOS star, 62, and lingerie business owner, 33, have been dating for around three years and got engaged in 2022 after he popped the question on holiday in New Orleans.
However, The Times reported that Katie has ‘occasionally wondered if it’s all worth it’ due to to ‘horrible’ racist abuse she receives online and comments calling her a ‘goldigger’ on Instagram.
Nick said: ‘It’s really unpleasant and unfair.
‘Katie’s a mum of two, she’s super-intelligent, and capable, within just eight months her lingerie brand was stocked by Next.

When asked if he tried to change her mind in those moments, he replied: ‘No. I understand. But in the end we love each other very much.’
It comes after Nick’s future on Strictly was unclear after he injured his arm while changing his car tyre on the side of a motorway after it broke down.
Despite skipping some rehearsals, he was given the all-clear by medics and performed with partner Luba Mushtuck on Saturday.
The duo made it through to the next round with Olympic champion swimmer Tom Dean and Nadiya Bychkova becoming the first couple eliminated.
On It Takes Two, Nick said he was surprised he hadn’t been given the boot after the show’s first big group number.

He continued: ‘To see someone eliminated is really tough because everyone behind the scenes has become such a lovely family that you have to sort of commiserate with one person and congratulate another at the same time. It’s very odd.’
Katie has previously revealed the toll of training on Nick, revealing he had become a ‘shell of a man’.
Nick previously revealed he had lost two stone due to ‘really tough’ training sessions.
Katie told Closer Magazine: ‘We knew it would be hard work but he is shattered every day when he comes back. He’s near enough crawling into the house.’
When asked if she feared the Strictly curse, she replied: ‘He is like a shell of a man at the moment – he’s exhausted.

Nick divorced his second wife Jessica Rose Moor, the mother of his son Eddie, in 2017 and dated PR guru Emily Hallinan in February 2020 before making things official with Katie.
The broadcaster’s first marriage from 1996 to 200 was to Gillian Knowles. The former couple share daughter Tuesday and son Charlie.
He is also a dad to another son, TJ, who he welcomed while in a relationship with dancer Paula Beckett.
Katie has children of her own outside of her romance with Nick and shares her daughters – Savannah, eight, and Alex, five – with a previous partner.
