Strictly’s Pete Wicks unrecognisable after epic hair transformation-Pierra Willix-Entertainment – Metro

Pete Wicks has left many Strictly Come Dancing viewers doing a double take after showing off a jaw-dropping new hairstyle.

The former Towie star, 35, is competing on the current season of the long-running BBC series alongside Jowita Przystał.

Last week the pair impressed with a lively samba to the theme song from 1997 comedy film, George of the Jungle, during the show’s popular Movie Week.

This week they were tasked with taking on a quickstep.

But before they even took to the dancefloor, Pete’s appearance left many shocked.

When the celebrities and their dancers were introduced at the start of the show, Pete ran down the stairs, with his trademark locks nowhere to be seen.

Instead, his hair was styled into a quiff, which many viewers couldn’t help but comment on.

‘PETE’S HAIR?!’ Emily exclaimed when posting on X.

‘Pete nailed it. Mesmerised by the hair,’ Fiona shared.

‘Pete Wicks straight out of Grease!’ Karen added.

Pete’s new look was later shown when he performed, wearing a 50s style getup for his performance, which was set in a tattoo parlour while the song Town Called Malice by The Jam was played.

Their routine also ended with a hilarious nod to Craig Revel Horwood, with Pete lifting up his shirt to show a fake tattoo of Craig’s face holding a paddle with a score of 10.

The response to their dance was also a far cry from the first week, with Pete and Jowita picking up a score of 29 from the judges.

Craig gave a rare compliment, telling him ‘well done’, while Motsi Mabuse said she ‘really liked this John Travolta vibe’.

Meanwhile head judge Shirley Ballas said: ‘Your technical quality is now starting to get better. I love the smouldering look between the two of you…you sir are improving week upon week.’

Commenting after the show, Jowita wrote on Instagram: ‘Sooooo proud of you !!!! My Danny Zuko.’

Many others praised the performance.

‘Pete’s best Dance yet! This is what I’ve been waiting for from him, loved it,’ Sasha shared.

‘Pete is what Strictly is all about for me❤️ His progression and improvement in 4 weeks is extraordinary. Jowita is an absolute goddess on the dance floor, and is a phenomenal teacher . Just imagine how amazing he will be in another 4 weeks,’ Bear wrote.

Many others commented on how much the reality star had improved since the show began a few weeks ago.

Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday at 6.20pm on BBC One.
