Strictly Come Dancing star Nick Knowles has revealed he is recovering in hospital after undergoing major surgery.
The DIY SOS star, 62, was eliminated in the dreaded dance-off on Sunday having been previously forced to skip Movie Week after a knee and arm injury.
On Instagram, the TV presenter shared a clip from a hospital bed and explained he had just woken up after having a ‘bicep reattachment’ operation.
Nick said he was also awaiting knee surgery but should be ‘right as rain’ after several months of physiotherapy.
He said: ‘Just woken up from my op. All went well by all accounts, so I have a reattached bicep now.
‘A bit of physio over the next two or three months and all should be right as rain, and back to 100% I think.

‘That’s one down and one to go on the knee.’
Nick had injured his knee during rehearsals with his partner Luba Mushtuk which he described as a ‘huge disappointment.’ He was later pictured on crutches.
He had previously suffered an injury to his shoulder and arm while changing a tyre, leaving his inclusion in the competition up in the air before it was confirmed just days before the live show.
Nick had said on It Takes Two: ‘I’m getting sick and tired of my injuries, everyone else must be getting fed up with it as well.

‘I want to be able to do the dance well enough tomorrow that I’m just judged on the dance and not any of the other things.
‘If you think about it, everybody has got things to deal with, Chris is doing amazing things every week, Punam [Krishan] is holding down a GP job whilst training and everyone has their own mountains to climb.’
On Sunday night, Nick and Luba lost the dance-off against former X Factor winner Shayne Ward and his dance partner Nancy Xu.
Appearing on BBC spin-off show It Takes Two to discuss his exit, Nick said: ‘I had a week off, you can see actually everybody had progressed a lot in that week and I just didn’t have time to be able to catch up and do well enough to stay in the competition.

‘I think it was the right result in the end and it means that I can now get the various bits of me that are falling off sorted out.
‘I might have an operation on the arm this week and then another operation on the knee in three weeks’ time so I can get myself sorted.’
Nick said he ‘genuinely fell in love with dancing’ so after the operations he will ‘do some more training with Luba.’
He teased he may join the Strictly Come Dancing tour, but ‘more importantly, I’m getting married next year and Luba is going to help choregraph the first dance.’
Mushtuk promised she is going to teach Nick and his fiancee Katie Dadzie the Argentine tango.
Strictly continues on Saturday at 6.25pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
