The cast of Married at First Sight Australia were left flustered after Queen Camilla unexpectedly made an appearance on set.

The 12th season of the reality series is currently being filmed in Sydney.

However, the brides and grooms got a surprise when noticing the Queen walking past their hotel during her and King Charles’ tour of the nation.

Watching the royal spectacle unfold next to the TV set, shirtless grooms were seen leaning over their balconies, while their wives looked confused and then excited realising what was happening.

As Camilla, 77, donned a regal blue midi dress, she waved to the small crowd gathered for her public appearance while the MAFS cast watched her from their balconies.

One of those surprised by the royal encounter was tattooed groom Dave Hand, alongside his bride Jamie Marinos, who were photographed leaning over the glass balcony of the One Global Resorts, the luxurious complex hosting the MAFS cast this season.

Jamie, with her blonde locks swept under a headband, was beaming as she pointed in the Queen’s direction, while Dave, wearing a backwards cap, filmed the moment on his phone.

Another couple, Jacqueline Burfoot and Ryan Donnelly, also filmed their own reactions to the unexpected royal visit.

Although the reality show’s cameras did capture Queen Camilla’s appearance, a producer told the Daily Mail Australia the footage might not be included in the final edit.

There’s been plenty of surprises in store for the cast of the 2025 season, with it revealed a few months ago that newlyweds Jeff Gobbels and Rhi Disljenkovic had actually dated before.

The pair were left shocked at their August wedding when realising they would be tying the knot.

Meanwhile, at another wedding, a bride confessed she had previously slept with another cast member’s new husband.

‘The entire room froze. It was like a grenade had gone off—nobody could believe what they were hearing,’ a source also told the publication of the explosive admission.

Married at First Sight Australia will air next year. The UK series is currently streaming on Channel 4.
