Ruth Langsford has appeared to have taken a brutal swipe at her ex Eamonn Holmes, after he moved out of their home together.
The former couple announced their shock split earlier this year after 14 years of marriage.
At the time, it was said work commitments had resulted in them drifting in ‘different directions’.
Ruth, 64, has since said very little about the split, though it was reported that she had been ‘gobsmacked’ over Eamonn, also 64, taking his new girlfriend, 42, on a romantic luxury holiday.
The Loose Women presenter has now made a cheeky quip about her new single life and getting rid of ‘old tat’.
During the ITV programme yesterday, she was discussing the topic of throwing away old items at home or reselling them, or ‘hanging onto old bits of tat’.
‘If I don’t like it, and it’s not got any meaning for me, then I get rid,’ Ruth’s co-star Coleen Nolan said.

Ruth replied: ‘I’m not a hoarder, I’m a clearer-outer. Come around I’ve always got a skip outside!’
She then laughed: ‘I’m chucking a lot of stuff out at the moment!’
Noticing the cheeky dig, the studio audience and her co-panellists burst into laughter.
This comes after reports that Ruth was taking revenge on Eamonn by removing the £2,000 stairlift they had installed in their Surrey mansion.

A source claimed last month: ‘Ruth has remained quiet and classy. Even when people bring up what Eamonn has been up to, she stays silent and just smiles. She thinks that is the best way. She has had a lot of support from her friends.’
They added to The Daily Mail: ‘But one thing she would see every day was the stairlift which Eamonn installed. Ruth doesn’t need it.
‘She’s super-fit and healthy but she knew Eamonn probably would struggle when he had to go the house to get some bits he needed for the holiday. The bedrooms are upstairs and he needed to get to them.
‘It might seem petty but Ruth’s friends think it is absolutely hilarious as they think he has really taken her for a ride.

‘You can imagine how furious Eamonn was. He was probably expecting to be able to use the stairlift to get his stuff and quickly get out again and pack for his holiday.’
Eamonn and Ruth had the stairlift installed in their home after he underwent back surgery in 2021 and struggled with mobility issues.
He slipped three discs in his back and later fell down the stairs and ‘smashed’ his shoulder, and has spoken about the chronic pain he’s been dealing with since.
He has since been pictured using crutches and a wheelchair during rare public appearances, and recently said he was on ‘borrowed time’ and that he was ‘not OK’, with Ruth saying weeks before their split that he ‘might never be 100% right’.
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV1.
