A child star who made her name in the 00s has not aged a day two decades after her first hit series.

Olivia Hallinan became a staple on British TV after playing Ellie in the ITV adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson’s book Girls in Love from 2003 until 2005.

She was later cast as 15-year-old lesbian Kim in Channel 4 show Sugar Rush, which followed her infatuation with heterosexual friend Sugar (Lenora Crichlow).

Now aged 38, Olivia somehow looks exactly the same as her days as a child actor in recent pictures on her Instagram.

She posted a selfie of herself wearing an autumnal tartan hat from what looked like an art gallery and captioned the post: ‘#tishatseason.’

In the comments section, @itsfranciswadsworth wrote: ‘Looking good.’

Echoing their sentiment, @jcksonctyluv wrote: ‘Really like that hat. You wear it well!!’

@alanfox52 added: ‘You look good no amazing, radiant. It must agree with you being a mum.’

The actress recently revealed on the social media site she is expecting her second child, a son, with partner Charlie Smith.

The couple are already parents to three-year-old daughter, Elora.

She was also in the hit Channel 4 show Sugar Rush (Picture: Channel 4)

After Girls in Love and Sugar Rush, Olivia was cast as Laura Timmins in ITV series Lark Rise to Candleford, which aired from 2008 until 2011.

In the past decade, she has appeared in shows including Father Brown, Doctors, Chickens and The Paradise.

According to IMDd, Olivia’s most recent role was as Queen Mary I in reconstruction scenes from BBC docuseries Royal Autopsy.

Speaking about her life now, Olivia recently told Cosmopolitan: ‘After Sugar Rush, I spent quite a few years in period drama land running around in a corset, [did] a bit of stage, a bit of this and a bit of that, and in more recent years I’ve been focussing more on being a mummy – I have a little 3-year-old, she’s been keeping me busy.

‘I’m still acting, just waiting for the next role… so, I’m just going to say it, I think the grown-up Ellie [from Girls in Love] would be perfect!’

While Olivia looks exactly the same, some child stars from the 00s have shed their former selves – including Gabriel Thomson.

Gabriel is best known for playing Michael Harper in BBC sitcom My Family, which ran for 11 series from 2000 to 2011.

He starred alongside Robert Lindsay and Zoe Wanamaker, who played his parents Ben and Susan, and his on-screen siblings Nick and Janey played by Death In Paradise’s Kris Marshall and Daniela Denby-Ashe.

Gabriel has fully turned his back on acting after he lost his ‘passion’ for it and retrained as a human rights barrister.
