Halloween is officially crossing over into Christmas season as TV icons Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick have reunited for a new festive film.
The pair became household names thanks to their efforts as Hilda and Zelda Spellman in legendary 90s sitcom, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, alongside Melissa Joan Hart, Nick Bakar and Nate Richert.
They have swapped spells for the snow in Hallmark’s latest movie, Holiday Mismatch, where they play feuding moms whose lives become intertwined when they unwittingly set their children up.
Caroline stars as Kath in the movie, and celebrated reuniting with her former screen partner on Instagram, sharing the trailer of their new flick with fans,
‘Tune in tonight when Zelda and Hilda are reunited on the screen but as Kath and Barb (we were briefly reunited on #chillingadventuresofsabrina but then ended in us eating extras in Canada),’ she captioned the post.
‘This funny movie will help you get in the #christmas mood. Who doesn’t like a funny love story? We’re meddling Mothers. Meddling is my #LoveLanguage.

Flocking to the comments below her video, Baikay94 cheered: ‘We will be watching!! Told my mom Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda will be reuniting in a Christmas movie!!’
Jmsofl agreed: ‘I just LOOOOOVED this magical reunion filled with laughter, happy tears and Christmas karaoke!!’

Underneath a post on the main Hallmark Instagram page, Niawiththeplans wrote: ‘Love seeing these two back together again!!! Takes me back to my Sabrina The Teenage Witch days!’
As Ericb_85 added: ‘Awesome reunion for these two!’
Holiday Mismatch premiered on Hallmark yesterday, with the official synopsis reading: ‘When free-spirited Kath (Rhea) and uptight Barbara (Broderick) clash at a Christmas committee meeting, they’re shocked to discover they’ve accidentally set up their adult children via a dating app.
‘Determined to stop the romance, the two mothers team up, only to realize they have more in common than they thought.

‘As their kids’ love blossoms, so does an unexpected friendship between their meddling moms, bringing both families together for a festive Christmas.’
Caroline and Beth were part of the main cast of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which aired for seven seasons between 1996 – 2003.
In the spooky teenage comedy, they played the aunts of young witch Sabrina Spellman (Melissa), and were there to guide the teenager as she came to terms with her powers, as well as her daily dramas in high school.
The stars recently shed light on their new project in a chat with People Magazine, sharing that their roles felt a lot like their efforts in Sabrina.

‘Kath is like Hilda, completely free-spirited,’ Caroline said. ‘I always seem to play single women, I don’t know what that is.’
Beth quipped that their dynamic works so well as ‘we are pretty darn well typecast’.
‘You know, Caroline’s an extravert, I’m an introvert,’ she added.
‘I remember walking to the set one day with Caroline years and years ago when we were on Sabrina, and she looked at me and she said, “Oh my God, I just figured it out. You’re a total nerd.” And I go, “Just now, you just now got that?”’
