‘Guess I’m going broke’ scream Primark shoppers as Wicked merch lands

WICKED is tipped to be the movie of the season.

Based on the hit musical and starring pop princess Ariana Grande, the £111m blockbuster opens in a couple of weeks.

Fans are gong wild for the Wickedly cute range.

There’s plenty of accessories on offer.

There’s a line in Elpheba’s signature green.

Fans of the stage show – which tells the tale of the unlikely friendship between green-skinned ‘wicked witch’ Elpheba and lover of all things pink and sparkly Glinda the Good – cannot wait to see it on the big screen.

And now they can’t wait to get their hands on Wicked themed merch – which has hit the shelves in everyone’s budget fashion fave Primark.

Staff at the brand’s Braehead store have been showing off some of the gravity-defying swag saying: “The Land Of Oz Is In Primark Braehead.”

And shoppers are going wild for it.

Among the goodies on offer are adorable Wicked pyjamas – one set for each of the two main characters in their distinctive green and pink colours. There’s also crop tops t-shirts and sweatshirts all depicting Elpheba and Glinda.

Meanwhile, there are some must-have accessories for fans of the Wizard of Oz prequel.

From tote bags and hair clips to phone cases and drinking cups, there’s an array of Wickedly beautiful bits to buy. There’s even a themed seven-day advent calendar.

Primark regulars are now saving up to splurge on the goods.

One said: “Guess I’m going broke.”

While another is planning to wear the bits she’s snapped up to see the movie, when it comes out on November 22.

She said: “I got the pink wicked crop top and I’m gonna wear it to see the movie with my green cargo trousers.”

Another simply screamed: “Omg, omg, omg.”

While a fourth gushed: “Another reason I need to go to Primark – love Wicked.”

Meanwhile, Primark has just announced the exact date a bumper new store is due to open in Glasgow Fort.

True fans will love the advent boxes.

The drinking cups are proving popular.
