Armie Hammer has revealed he got a vasectomy from his mother as a birthday present.
The actor, 38 – who had a string of damaging allegations made against him three years ago and recently announced a comeback – has revealed on an episode of his podcast that his mother Dru Hammer gifted him the contraceptive surgical procedure.
In an episode of his Armie HammerTime Podcast, which aired on November 11, Hammer revealed the odd gift he received after he initially requested money from his mother.
‘So I call Armie and ask: “What would you like for your birthday this year?”‘ Dru began.
‘He goes, “I don’t know, maybe money, whatever.” And I was like, “I believe I’m going to give you a vasectomy.”‘
The Death on the Nile and Call Me By Your Name actor added: ‘So I go to a doctor’s office and I go, “I’m here to schedule a vasectomy.” And I do the consultation with the doctor, and he’s like, “Are you sure you want to do this?”

‘I’m like, “I have two beautiful kids, I don’t want anymore kids. I’m good to go.”‘
He explained how the doctors tried to talk him out of it, but he insisted it was happening.
‘I go out to the reception and they’re like, “Are you going to be putting this on insurance?” he recalled.
‘I go, “Actually I don’t have insurance. I haven’t had any insurance for years.”
‘She asks if I am going to be putting it on a credit card. I say, “Oh no, my credit card won’t cover this. My mother is going to be paying for it.”‘
Hammer then explained how the receptionist was shocked, while Dru chimed in: ‘By the way, you know as the church lady I would love to say, “I’m praying you don’t have sex outside of marriage,” and I’m thinking that’s not going to work.’
He then joked: ‘So now I’m just out here blasting away, throwing it all over the place.’
Hammer was at the height of his fame when he was accused of ‘rape, emotional abuse and violence’ by multiple women in 2021, which he denied.
It was also claimed Hammer had a ‘fetish for cannibalism’, as women claimed he made comments about wanting to ‘take a bite’ out of their body parts.
He vehemently denied these accusations, previously branding them ‘outlandish’ and ‘bizarre’ on an episode of the Painful Lessons podcast.

The actor has not worked in the industry since Death on the Nile in 2022, and shortly after the allegations he checked himself into rehab for drug, alcohol and sex issues, and he was dropped by his agency, and removed from upcoming projects.
In a lengthy interview in 2023, Hammer denied any criminal wrongdoings including the ‘sexual abuse and rape’ claims – maintaining all his sexual encounters have been consensual – but did admit he was ‘one million per cent’ emotionally abusive to them.
Last month it became apparent Hammer would be making a return to screens, as he posted a photo of him in Western film Frontier Crucible, and captioned the photo: ‘Back in the saddle.’
The film, directed by Travis Mills and starring Thomas Jane, follows an ex-soldier haunted by his past as he links up with outlaws to navigate the Arizona frontier in the 1870s.
He launched the podcast last month too, which he said was billed as a ‘chronicling of putting my life back together’.
