One of the best gameshows of recent years is making its way back to the BBC – and honestly, it couldn’t come sooner.

That’s right – The Traitors season 3 is just around the corner.

The show that gave us Diane’s famous Ross reveal, Claudia Winkleman’s oversized jumpers and brutal, backstabbing treachery will be returning imminently, and fans can’t wait for the drama to unfold once again.

So when is The Traitors going to be back on air and what else do we know about the series?

When is The Traitors coming back?

Fasten your seatbelts, because The Traitors is going to be back in a mere number of weeks.

On New Year’s Day, the third season of the UK show is set to premiere.

The first two episodes will air at 8pm respectively, and then the rest will come out at 9pm, with new instalments being released on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.

In the new trailer for the show, Claudia hinted that the ultimate game of deception is going to ‘start the New Year with a bang’.

Who’s going to be in The Traitors season 3 cast?

We don’t know yet who’s going to be in the cast for The Traitors’ third season, but it is confirmed that this will be a civilian series.

A celebrity version of the programme will follow in due course.

The first season of The Traitors was won jointly by Faithfuls Aaron Evans, Hannah Byczkowski and Meryl Williams, with Traitor Wilf Webster missing out on the jackpot at the final hurdle.

The second season was won by Traitor Harry Clark, who managed to deceive his friend Mollie Pearce – who was a Faithful – right up until the final moments of the competition.

How much is prize money in The Traitors?

While Aaron, Hannah and Meryl split the jackpot of £101,050 in season one, Harry was the sole player to take home £95,150 in season two.

The contestants taking part in the third season have the chance to take home up to £120,000.

Is Claudia Winkleman returning as host?

It’s safe to say, that The Traitors UK would not be the same in the slightest without the powerhouse that is Claudia Winkleman.

We’re expecting drama, enormous oversized knitwear, leather-look gloves, and brilliantly biting words from the TV legend when she returns to the Scottish castle where the show is filmed.

How can you watch The Traitors?

The Traitors’ new season will be available to watch on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, while previous seasons of the show can be accessed on the streaming platform.
