Pete Wicks is bookies’ favourite to leave the contest, but there could be something big working in his favour.
The TV star has found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard with Jowita Przystal in recent weeks, but the public have continually decided to save them from the dance-off.
His lower scores from the judges have led to odds of 3/5 for him to leave, ahead of Montell Douglas at 5/4 and JB Gill at 6/1.
However, Pete, 36, and Jowita, 30, have been given a gift – nope, not another pair of PVC trousers – but instead, a favourable dance style.
The pair will be Waltzing to Somewhere from West Side Story, and luckily for them, not many people have left the competition after performing it.
Research from SlotsCalendar uncovered that only one of the last 71 eliminations, dating all the way back to 2018, have been when celebrities have performed a Waltz.

The other celebrities have been assigned dances with varying levels of success for Musicals Week.
Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola are taking inspiration from Wicked with a Charleston to Popular from Wicked. The dance has been responsible for 12.68% of eliminations in the same period, making it the second riskiest dance behind the Samba. Everybody has already taken on the Samba in previous weeks so nobody will be taking it on this Saturday night.
Chris McCausland and Diane Buswell, the current favourites to win the whole show, are dancing the Quickstep, which has also been responsible for just one elimination in the last six years, as has Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec’s Argentine Tango.

JB Gill and Lauren Oakley’s Viennese Waltz is another of the safer styles. The romantic routine has resulted in just two eliminations. However, Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe are having to contend with the riskier Rumba.
The famously difficult sultry number, which is the only routine to have never got a perfect 40, has ended five celebrities’ journeys.
The remaining six couples will be taking to the dancefloor on Saturday for the quarter final. Pete has recently had to remind viewers that no matter what happens, it is only a dance class after receiving death threats.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday November 30 at 7.05pm and the results show is airing on Sunday December 1 at 7.20pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
