I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! 2024 winner Danny Jones made history this week when taking out the title of the ITV series.

The McFly star, 38, achieved the trifecta of winning three massive reality shows in one year, also emerging victorious on The Masked Singer and The Voice.

Ahead of the finale, Danny’s long-time bandmate Tom Fletcher said the latest win would be ‘the cherry on top’.

‘I don’t think anyone’s ever done that before. I think that would be a pretty awesome end to the year. I think he deserves to win,’ he said.

Despite Danny’s incredible success, he’s not the first member of McFly to have won a reality show – in fact all four have achieved the feat.

Over the past 13 years, Danny, Tom, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd have won six shows, with some of their wives and McBusted bandmates also doing the same. Here’s the full list!

When being announced as the winner of I’m A Celebrity this week, Danny broke down in tears, saying it felt ‘amazing’.

‘I can’t even talk,’ he said, hugging hosts Ant and Dec. ‘It feels surreal!’

Addressing the support received from viewers, he thanked them ‘from the bottom of my heart’, adding he ‘gave my all in there and it’s a lovely feeling to be liked!’.

ITV later confirmed he won with 55.2% of the public vote in the finale.

Just a few months ago Danny and Tom won the latest season of The Voice UK.

Their act Ava took out the reality singing series after being coached by the duo, who joined forces for the first time on the series this year.

Earlier this year Danny also won The Masked Singer, during which he competed undercover as Piranha.

Speaking about winning he joked his bandmates would be ‘very surprised’.

‘I am my own worst enemy, so I’m always like, “That wasn’t very good”, so they always build me up. They’ll guess me straight away’ he said.

Tom Fletcher

Although Tom, 39, recently said he ‘let the side down’ by not winning Strictly Come Dancing when he competed in 2021, he has in fact won two other shows.

In June 2011, Tom competed on the ITV game show The Cube and won £100,000, donating the money to the Comic Relief fund and BIRT (Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust).

Posting on Twitter at the time, Dougie shared: ‘Just watched @tommcfly kick @thecube right in the shins and call its mum a fat square. Today he did something great!’

A decade later he then signed up for Strictly, where he was paired with professional dancer Amy Dowden.

However, they were the eighth couple to be eliminated, with that season eventually won by EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice.

Aside from The Cube, this year Tom did also win The Voice when working with Danny.

Speaking to Metro recently he also joked: ‘I think I was the first one of us to not win a reality show so maybe my time’s up. Plus, we’ve already got an I’m A Celeb crown in the house so that’s [Gi’s] thing.’

In 2020 his wife Giovanna Fletcher, who presents the CBeebies series The Baby Club and hosts the podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby, also signed up for I’m A Celebrity.

Held in Wales, Giovanni won the series with 50.27% of the final vote.

Tom’s brother-in-law Mario Falcone, who found fame on The Only Way is Essex, joined Celebrity Big Brother in 2013 but finished fifth.

Dougie Poynter

Kicking off McFly’s success on reality shows came in 2011 when Dougie won I’m A Celebrity.

That season he beat out other stars including Towie’s Mark Wright, Benidorm’s Crissy Rock and singer Sinitta.

However, in 2020 Dougie, now 37, was honest when asked if he had any advice to impart on the next batch of campmates.

Speaking to Sunday Brunch’s Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy he was asked to reveal any tips he might have.

‘Honestly, I couldn’t give anyone any advice,’ he explained.

‘All I did that entire time was hung out in a hammock and smoked a lot of cigarettes.’

‘Then I won, so I can’t really offer any advice at all,’ he added.

Harry Judd

The only McFly star to have won Strictly, Harry Judd has appeared on the show four times and took out the Mirrorball Trophy in 2011.

A year earlier he’d won a special episode for Children in Need, where he competed with Ola Jordan and beat The Saturdays star Rochelle Humes.

The following year Harry, now 38, was paired with Aliona Vilani, with the couple receiving the first 10 of the series.

They were eventually named the winners at the season finale at Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom.

In 2012 Harry also performed in Strictly Come Dancing Underwater as part of Sport Relief 2012 but was just beaten by Chelsee Healey.

Three years later he went on the show again, winning the 2015 Christmas Special with Joanne Clifton.

Last year he also competed on Celebrity Race Across the World with his mum Emma. The duo came second.

Harry’s wife Brittany ‘Izzy’ Johnston also reached the final of the second season of Britain’s Got Talent in 2008 as part of the electronic string quartet Escala.

The shows stars in the McFly Multiverse have won too

Busted’s Charlie Simpson won The Masked Singer in 2023 (Picture: ITV)

McFly, which formed in 2003, first rose to fame after fellow band Busted helped to launch them after inviting the boys to tour with them in 2004.

They found success quickly, winning the Brit Award for Best British Pop Act in 2005 and their debut album Room on the 3rd Floor debuting at number one on the UK Albums Chars.

That achievement saw them become the youngest band ever to have an album debut at number one—a title taken from the Beatles.

In 2013 the two bands joined forces to form McBusted and while they disbanded two years later, next year they will embark on a reunion tour.

Over the years members of Busted have also found success on reality shows.

In 2006 Matt Willis won I’m A Celebrity, while Charlie Simpson took out The Masked Singer last year.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! is streaming on ITVX.
