Shania Twain has sparked a buzz online after performing in a sheer underwear-style bodysuit in Las Vegas.

The Canadian singer’s performance online went viral after fans were surprised to see the 59-year-old wearing such a daring look.

Sparking the debate in a tweet on X that was viewed over 7.7 million times, @iAnonPatriot shared a video of the star on stage with the caption: ‘Shania Twain is nearly 60 years old performing in her underwear…. Thoughts?’

While some criticised the star for her on-stage look, many rushed to support Shania and emphasise how amazing she looked.

Others also highlighted that the singer was wearing a full bodysuit made to look like a bikini – a common style used by performers on stage.

‘Also Shania Twain is wearing a fully body suit….not actually showing much skin at all. Let her do what she wants,’ said NinoushkaLondon.

‘That’s a whole outfit. Just because it doesn’t look like it is, it is. That’s not her skin showing. If you’ve still got it… work it. Men always have something to say about a woman’s body, appearance or age,’ said EeeJaye9.

The singer has been known for her daring looks throughout her career, frequently rocking cowboy hats, cowboy boots, and leopard print catsuits.

In her recent performances, she has retained her signature style – notably performing at Glastonbury in the summer in a mini black dress, fishnets, cowboy boots and a hat.

Although the sound system for her Glastonbury performance was faulty, she performed again to a huge UK crowd at BST in Hyde Park and was praised as ‘note perfect’.

The star also recently earned praise for her appearance in Sabrina Carpenter’s Nonsense Christmas.

Tweeting about her experience after the show the singer said: ‘What do you say when

@SabrinaAnnLynn calls you up and asks if you want to sing a Christmas song together? Obviously you say “Sure, I would love to sing with you Sabrina!”
