The famous model and By Caprice Home CEO grew up in LA and spent most of her twenties there, before moving to London.

She told The Sun Online: “The schooling is not as structured.

“It is very liberal, not as academic and we are not taught manners and etiquette.”

Commenting on the royal kids’ lives in LA, following the birth of Lilibet on June 4, she also advised that, “a top notch therapist is a must”.

However, Caprice added: “Our summer holidays were brilliant though.

“We had three months off. The weather helps people’s moods.

“Everyone is smiling and generally happy.”

Her comments come as Meghan’s estranged dad Thomas Markle said he was “very pleased” about the birth of his granddaughter.

After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the arrival of Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor he wished them “all my love”.

The 76-year-old retired Hollywood lighting engineer and his daughter have been estranged over claims that he staged photos in return for cash.

Meghan Markle had her second child at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital on Friday at 11.40am.

“I’m very pleased that my daughter and my new granddaughter had a successful delivery,” Thomas told The Sun Online.

“I wish them all my love and the best of luck.”

Thomas hasn’t spoken to Meghan since her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.

It was initially announced that he would walk his daughter down the aisle when she married Prince Harry.

But he pulled out after he had a heart attack and had to undergo surgery to repair the damage.

Thomas has yet to meet Prince Harry and has never held – or even seen – his grandson Archie.

Meghan and Harry will reportedly take several months off work for parental leave after the birth of their baby girl.

Journalist Omid Scobie said the break could be as long as 20 weeks as the the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who offer as many weeks to staff at Archewell – “lead by example”.

He told Good Morning America: “We’re so used to seeing senior royals going back to work but Harry and Meghan are leading by example.

“They offer up to 20 weeks parental leave at Archewell – it’ll be several months off work for the pair of them.”

According to a statement released by the family to confirm Lili’s arrival, the newborn’s full name Lilibet was The Queen’s family nickname and the name Prince Philip used to call her.

Royal expert, Duncan Larcombe, suggests that Harry and Meghan choosing Lilibet for their daughter is a “major olive branch” from them to the Royal family.

Larcombe told Fabulous Digital that Harry’s nod to The Queen with his baby girl’s moniker is the “most royal of names”.

He claims: “By choosing the childhood name of the Queen, Harry and Meghan have given their daughter the most royal of names.

“To many such a specific nod to Her Majesty will be seen as the first major olive branch offered by the Sussexes since Megxit. A sign perhaps Harry and Meghan are eager to build bridges.”
