Jasper Carrott has rarely been seen since he hosted his last show 15 years ago, but his famous daughter has now shared a new picture.
Golden Balls ended 15 years ago and Jasper has pretty much been off TV since that final series.
Now, actress Lucy Davis have given us an insight into his life by sharing a photo of Jasper, 79, at his son Jake’s wedding.
In the images, Jasper was slow dancing with his wife of 53 years Hazel. The couple looked blissfully happy in each other’s arms on the family occasion.
Lucy, 51, felt emotional watching the touching moment and wrote on Instagram: ‘Almost 53 years of marriage. Gave me a bit of a lump in the ol throat to see my folks dancing together at my brothers wedding.’
Seeing his face again made fans very happy, which they expressed in the comments section.

‘I wish Carrot was still on, I loved the recreated adverts as a kid,’ wrote Makiter99. In BBC show Carrott’s Commercial Breakdown, Jasper would take a look at humorous television advertisements from around the world and produce his own spoofs. Lucy sweetly responded: ‘Me too!’
‘I love your Dad. So many happy memories of watching him on the tele with my dad – who we lost 18 years ago now. He feels like an uncle almost, for the nostalgia and the feels. Congrats to them, and with all my love,’ added Talloohla.
‘I wish your dad would go on tour again… He is a comedy genius and I still watch his stuff on YouTube. They both look so in love…’ weighed in Themarvelousmrb73. Luckily for the fans, Jasper will be hitting the road from February 2025. ‘Rightly known as the godfather of British comedy, he brings to this show his trademark razor-sharp wit and charm. One not to be missed!’ the advertisement teases.

Jasper, real name Robert Davis, has enjoyed a fun career as an actor, comedian and presenter.
He had starring roles in The Detectives and All About Me, and memorably hosted Goldenballs for two years, fronting an impressive 289 episodes. In the ITV game show, contestants would be given golden balls filled with cash. They then had to determine the amount each person has been given to progress to the next round. In the final, the virtual strangers would decide whether to split or take home the money.
Work also led him to the BBC on a variety of comedy shows, including Carrott’s Lib, a Saturday night stand-up show. Viewers know him for his series of anecdotal, often autobiographical, comedy sketches, which he’s performed since the 1970s. The man of many talents released the single Funky Moped in 1975, and it became a Top 5 UK chart hit.

In 2015, he briefly took on the presenter role once more for an episode of The One Show. Two years later, he underwent heart bypass surgery and took a break from his regular touring.
Jasper married journalist Hazel in 1972 and together they have three children – Jake, Lucy, and Jenny.
Following him into the industry, Lucy became an actor and is best known for her time on The Office. She played Dawn Tinsley in the BBC mockumentary, written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. Her character had one of the best slow burn relationships with Martin Freeman’s Tim Canterbury.
