MasterChef star Gregg Wallace has left the UK amid an investigation into his alleged misconduct over the years.

Earlier this month it was announced Wallace, 60, would be stepping away from the long-running BBC series which he’d hosted alongside John Torode for nearly 20 years.

It came after it was revealed the BBC had launched an investigation into the presenter after he was accused of making inappropriate sexual comments and groping several women, which he and his lawyers have fiercely denied.

But after Grace Dent was revealed to be stepping into Wallace’s role on the upcoming season of Celebrity MasterChef next year, he’s left the country.

This week Wallace and his wife Anne-Marie Sterpini, 38, took to the high seas, boarding a cruise.

Posting a photo of himself dressed in a tuxedo on his way to dinner with Anna on the luxurious lavish Cunard’s Queen Anne cruise, Wallace told his followers it was ‘date night’.

The couple are on the voyage from Southampton to Hamburg, which stops in Paris, Bruges and Rotterdam.

However, Wallace later deleted the post with his wife.

The couple met on Twitter in 2013 when she contacted him for recipe advice.

They married three years later, with John serving as best man, and welcomed son Sid in 2019.

At the time of their wedding, Wallace was 51 and Sterpini was 30.

Wallace previously said during an appearance on Lorraine that he thought it was ‘they met and admitted that, at first, he was worried about their big age gap.

‘People look at you anyway and I felt really conscious because she was younger and I didn’t want people to judge her harshly,’ he said.

Wallace was previously married to ex-wife Christine for just six weeks in 1991. He was then married to Denise – mum to his kids Tom and Libby – for five years from 1999.

He was then married to biology teacher Heidi Brown from 2010, but they separated after 15 months.
