I’m A Celebrity star unexpectedly headlines huge concert with The Who and Sex Pistols-Rebecca Sayce-Entertainment – Metro

An unlikely I’m A Celebrity star will perform alongside The Who and members of Sex Pistols for a very special series of shows.

The Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) shows are returning for 2025, with influencer GK Barry on the lineup.

She quickly became a fan favourite during her stint on the ITV reality show last year, striking up a friendship with Reverend Richard Coles.

Speaking about the shows, the TV star said it felt ‘amazing’ to support a case that could help her fans.

‘I wanted to get involved with Teenage Cancer Trust because a lot of my followers are teenagers and young people,’ GK, 25, said.

She continued: ‘I think it’s so amazing to support a cause that could help my audience and their friends or a loved one.

‘Being a teenager is hard enough as it is, so if there’s anything I can do alongside the charity to help to support the people they work with, I’m there.’

GK, real name Grace Eleanor Keeling, is also an ambassador for TCT and the face of performances at the Royal Albert Hall, which will host a series of shows.

Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday at 9am.

Rock icons The Who and three original members of legendary punk band Sex Pistols are among the acts performing the series of gigs to raise money for the charity.

Irish family group The Corrs, singer James Arthur, and comedian Micky Flanagan will also perform.

The Who singer Sir Roger Daltrey remains an honorary patron of the TCT after helming the charity gigs for more than two decades.

Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook, bass player Glen Matlock, and guitarist Steve Jones will perform their punk classics such as Pretty Vacant, Anarchy In The UK, and God Save The Queen on March 24.

Vocalist John Lydon will be replaced by Gallows and The Rattlesnakes singer Frank Carter for the run after joining the band for a spate of shows in 2024.

Speaking ahead of the shows, Jones, 69, said it was an ‘honour to help this great charity.’

‘After an incredible 2024, we are itching to get going again this year, and what better way than on home territory at a venue that wouldn’t have let us near it back in the day,’ he said.

‘Albert will be turning in his tomb. It’s an honour to help this great charity.’

The Who will play two shows, with special guests Level 42, a jazz band, on March 27 and March 31.

Flanagan will host a night of comedy on March 25, and GK will be joined by special guests on March 29.

The Corrs will take to the stage on March 28, while James plus special guests is on March 26.

Kate Collins, chief executive of TCT, said: ‘These gigs would not exist without Roger, who remains a tireless honorary patron for the charity and is unstoppable in his support for young people with cancer.

‘Teenage Cancer Trust exists because cancer care wasn’t made for young people.

‘Without us, a young person diagnosed with cancer today would find themselves lumped together with small children or much older adults.

‘It’s only thanks to our supporters that we can continue to be there for every young person who needs us.’

Since 2000, £34million has been raised for TCT through the series of gigs.
