Ollie Locke and husband Gareth are set to become fathers for the first time, welcoming a child through surrogacy.

The Made In Chelsea star confirmed their happy news on Instagram, sharing a video of the moment their eggs were fertilised.

‘I’m not crying, you’re crying! This is the very moment our eggs were fertilised…,’ the 33-year-old captioned the post.

’In 9 months time, after being looked after by a very wonderful human we hope to be able to show you what he or she looks like and how much love we have to give!

‘I cannot wait to meet you little one and to be your daddy with @garethplocke Xx.’

‘Thank you @advancedfertilitycentercancun for being so wonderful Xx,’ he added.

The E4 favourite also shared a montage clip showing their visit to the clinic in Cancun, as they prepared to start their surrogacy journey together.

Fans and famous faces were thrilled by the update, flooding the comments section with love.

Jess Wright replied: ‘Bless you. Sending so much love! X.’

Made In Chelsea co-star Jane said: ‘Fantastic news. Wonderful times ahead. Congratulations darlings.’

‘Yay congratulations!!!!,’ Lottie Moss posted as Fleur East added: ‘Wow! Congratulations!’

Ollie, who married Gareth at the Natural History Museum last year, has kept fans in the loop with every step of their plans to start a family.

In May, he revealed they had been given a medical exemption to travel during the pandemic, so they could begin the process.

’To our amazing followers, the last year has been super tough on everyone and the joint effort of everyone has made a huge effect on all of us collectively getting past the restrictions and difficulties of Covid-19,’ he said.

‘Respectfully and excitingly we wanted to post and make an announcement that we have traveled across the world and under medical exemptions to begin our IVF and surrogacy journey.

‘We know you have loved watching our journey so far and we can’t wait to take you on the adventure with us on the other side of the world and with any luck we might have some very good news for you in the coming months!

‘We hope our followers understand and support us in this journey and that you appreciate the circumstances that have allowed us to travel outside of a normal situation. All our love as always, Ollie & Gareth.’

But the couple won’t know which of them has fathered the child, with the Celebrity Big Brother star previously adding: ‘We’re mixing it up, so it’ll be whoever’s swims best on the day and we’ll never know.

‘Although if it comes out with yellow hair, it’ll be Gareth’s.’
