PS5 UK restock now at GAME – Argos on Friday and Amazon on Monday

Major restocks for the PS5 are going on this week and next at most retailers, so if you haven’t got the console yet this is your chance.

Thanks to Sony, the PlayStation 5 didn’t have much of a presence at E3 but that’s done nothing to lessen demand, as ShopTo and AO have already sold out of new allocations they got this week.

At time of writing, GAME still have some bundles up for pre-order, including the new Ratchet & Clank one, although they’re not likely to last for long.

The good news is that Argos and Amazon have yet to put their latest restock on sale, so if you miss out today Argos is expected to go live at 1am on Friday, June 18.

Argos has been repeatedly criticised for releasing stock early in the morning, when most people are asleep, as it makes things even easier for the automated bots of scalpers.

The only benefit is that Argos stock is organised regionally, so if your local branch gets some in it can’t be taken by someone halfway across the country.

As you’d imagine, Amazon usually has the most amount of stock to go around, with stock checkers predicting that they’ll release it for sale on Monday or Tuesday next week.

Amazon stock tends to go live at between 9am and 10am, so while it’ll probably only last for 30 minutes or so you won’t have to get up early for the privilege of giving them your money.

There’s still no sign that the PlayStation 5 is going to be easier to get hold of anytime soon but the period between restocks, and the average price of second-hand consoles, is slowly decreasing as the year goes on.
