“Not Easy Coming Back”: Andy Murray Draws Parallels With Roger Federer Following Loss at Queen’s Club Championships 2021
Andy Murray will be back in action, at the Wimbledon Championship 2021. The Scott is currently playing in the Queen’s Club Championship, in London. He recently spoke about Roger Federer and his longevity. The former World No1 spoke highly of the Swiss legend and what he has done for the sport.
Federer lost his second round game in the Halle Open in Germany. He lost to 20 year old Canadian international, Felix Auger Aliassime. The veteran lost 6-4, 3-6, 2-6 against the youngster. He was unhappy with himself after the loss, as the Wimbledon Championship is approaching.

Andy Murray empathized with Federer’s loss at the Halle Open. He understands the feeling of coming back from an injury, and playing an important tournament. The Swiss has been suffering from a knee injury, since the past couple of years.
“I don’t know exactly what Roger’s situation is, but I know from my own experience that it’s not easy coming back and playing after such a long period out,” said Murray in his post match interview.
The Scott lost his second round match against Matteo Berrettini, 6-3, 6-3. This was the Italian’s first win over the former World No1, and it came in his home tournament. The Scott will not be able to claim his sixth Queen’s Club Championship.
Andy Murray described how Federer would be feeling, and understood the player’s problem. Andy has been suffering a hip injury as well, since 2016.
“You know, you’re kind of wanting to get into a bit of a rhythm and it’s not happening, so it can be hard. Yeah, it’s extremely frustrating. I understand why it would be frustrating for Federer, but I’m sure he will work it out,” said Murray to Metro.co.
The Wimbledon Championship will commence from the 28th of June. The tournament is said to be a last chance for Roger Federer to win a Grand Slam title. The Swiss has won the tournament a record eight times, and will be in full swing for his potential ninth title. Andy will also battle it out on the grass court and regain his form.
