Gwyneth Paltrow has likened her ex-husband Chris Martin to a ‘brother’ as the pair are more like siblings than a former couple following their split.

The Goop founder, 48, and the Coldplay star, 44, were married for 10 years and share two children – 17-year-old Apple and Moses, 15 – and split in 2014.

The pair maintained a good friendship and a close bond to co-parent their children – so close in fact that Gwyneth now sees Chris as a sibling instead.

She said on the Today show: ‘He’s like my brother. You know, he’s my family. I love him.

‘And I’m so grateful to him for giving me these kids. It worked out well… You know, it really did, I have to say.

‘I mean, it’s funny. He was over here yesterday. And [Apple] came through and she’s like, you know, she’s taller than me now. We just looked at each other. We were like, “How did this go by so quickly?”’

Both have since moved on with new partners, with Gwyneth marrying producer Brad Falchuk while Chris has been dating Dakota Johnson since 2017.

Gwyneth and Chris’s new partners also get on so well that the two couples often holiday together so they can go away with their kids at the same time.

As well as sharing details of her beautiful relationship with her ex, Gwyneth also dropped the bombshell that her daughter has never watched any of the movies she has acted in.

She admitted: ‘My kids have never seen me in a movie. I mean, I think my son
has seen the Iron Man things, but I don’t think my daughter has ever seen me in a movie.

‘[Apple] thinks it’s weird if I’m onscreen, she says she likes me here.’
