‘She’s the One’- Dana White Compares Ronda Rousey to Conor McGregor.

Dana White joined a conversation with BroBible to promote his upcoming UFC 264 event. The UFC president talked about a lot of fighters, including ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor. He recalled the moment when he met McGregor for the first time.

That night, White knew it straight away that he’d met a superstar in the making. The UFC president compared the former Bantamweight UFC women’s champion, Ronda Rousey, to Conor McGregor as she is the only other fighter for whom he felt the same way at the first meet. White believes that Rousey is the closest person who resembles Conor McGregor’s personality.

Dana White said “The closest thing to it was Ronda. I sat down and had a forty-five-minute meeting with her. And I was adamantly opposed to women fighting in the UFC. Halfway through the meeting, I started talking to myself, going holy sh*t I think I am gonna do this. She’s the one we could launch this whole women’s thing with.”

Ronda Rousey one of the greatest to step inside the octagon

Ronda Rousey is considered one of the greatest women’s fighters to grace the octagon. She arrived from Strikeforce after defeating Sarah Kaufman in her fourth professional bout. Then Rousey made history alongside Liz Carmouche as they fought the first women’s bout in the promotion at UFC 157. The duo also became the first women’s fighting pair to headline a UFC card.

Rousey emerged victorious by becoming the first women’s Bantamweight champion. She is the lady who placed the women’s division on the UFC map and carved a way for the upcoming generation.

Her MMA career ended with a record of twelve victories and two defeats. Although Rousey couldn’t end her career on a high note, she has permanently placed her name in the history books for her priceless contributions to the world of MMA.

She showed the entire world how hard work and determination can change someone’s life forever. Ronda Rousey is a true symbol of women’s empowerment as she headlined six UFC events in her eight-fight UFC career.
