WATCH: Roger Federer and Robert De Niro in Behind The Scenes of Switzerland Tourism Commercial

Roger Federer and Robert De Niro, in one frame together, is something people wouldn’t think of. However, the duo was in one frame during Switzerland Tourism’s ad. The Swiss maestro and the renowned film director were seen in MySwitzerland’s ad, “No Drama” together.

On his Instagram feed, Federer uploaded the first video of the Switzerland Tourism film.

Robert De Niro is an American filmmaker, academy award-winning actor, and producer. The duo shook hands in May for the project and delivered a dramatic ad for the tourism company.

In the end, De Niro jokingly told Federer to contact Tom Hanks for the project.

Switzerland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, leading to a bludgeoning tourism market. The country is famous for its mountains, resorts, chocolate and the people in general.

In an ad by Switzerland Tourism, Roger Federer invited Robert De Niro to do a film with him. The Hollywood icon, however, rejected the idea.

Robert De Niro, sitting in his New York apartment, demanded some form of drama from his country. He does not like the fact that the country is perfect.

Consequently, Roger agrees with the director. He is desperate for some kind of drama, as a result of which, he rejects all of Federer’s ideas.

The Swiss legend invites him for skydiving, skiing, and watching the cows grazing in the fields. The director does not find these ideas enticing, and rejects the plan. De Niro advises Roger to call up another Hollywood superstar, Tom Hanks, for the job.

Roger Federer will be playing in the Wimbledon Championships 2021, beginning from Monday. The Swiss will be aiming for his ninth Wimbledon title and his 21st overall Grand Slam title.

The former World No1 will hope for a good run at the grass-court event after a string of underwhelming performances. He recently lost to 21-year-old Felix Auger Aliassime of Canada at the Halle Open.

This is probably the last chance for the Swiss legend to win a Grand Slam title, considering that age has not been on his side. The run of injuries since the past two years has kept him out of form. However, it is time to regain form for the former World No1.
