Jamal Crawford, Kendrick Perkins & Others React After LA Clippers Stun the Phoenix Suns in Game 3

The Phoenix Suns arrived in Los Angeles tonight to face LA Clippers in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. The Suns came in with a 2-0 advantage after winning their first two games at home. But unfortunately they couldn’t continue their form on the road, and had a tough loss.

The Suns had a huge boost for the game with Chris Paul returning after missing the first two games. However, he looked rusty on return, and struggled to make shots. Devin Booker was also struggling to score for a second game in a row. Last game, the rest of the team stepped up when he couldn’t, but tonight it did not go their way.

For the Clippers, Paul George had another inefficient night, but he hit some big shots to help the team. The Clippers won tonight mainly because of their tough defense, and not their offense. They clogged the paint and also were locking up the perimeter. Patrick Beverley clamped up Booker, and that was a huge turning point in the game.

Throughout the game, many NBA players like Jamal Crawford, Kendrick Perkins, and Terrence Ross tweeted about how the teams were playing.

Phoenix Suns let down by their stars Chris Paul and Devin Booker

The Suns had a slow start to the game with Booker and Paul bricking shots. So the Clippers took an early lead, and by the end of the first quarter, they were up by eight. The Suns fought back in the second quarter with their role players finding their stride. This momentum helped them to overcome the deficit and take a two-point lead by halftime.

Unfortunately for the suns, all their momentum came to a standstill in the second half. The Clippers just dominated them on both ends and the suns were helpless. The constant bricking by CP3 and Booker only made it worse for them. They ended with a combined 10-40 from the field, which is completely unacceptable in such a game.

Ayton continued his dominance in the paint and was a constant threat at the rim. However, he was far from his best defensively and gave away multiple offensive rebounds and wasn’t the rim protector he usually is.

They now have to step up in their next game, as they hope to return to home court with an advantage. The Suns are capable of winning the series, but they cannot do it without a collective effort.
