“It Won’t Be Long Now” – Deontay Wilder Alarms Tyson Fury

On July 24th, the ex-WBC heavyweight champ, Deontay Wilder, will make the much-awaited ring appearance of his career. He will battle out his British boxing rival, Tyson Fury, in a high-voltage trilogy. Moreover, Wilder will look forward to settling his scores with the champ, thus reclaiming his titles.

Ahead of the fight, Wilder commenced the mental warfare against his arch-nemesis. Recently, he posted a video on his social handles and issued a fiery warning to ‘The Gypsy King’, touching on the final round of their first fight.

It won’t be long now. July 24th it’s about to go down,” he wrote.

The first time Wilder and Fury locked horns with each other was back in 2018. This tussle intrigued fans and fighters around the world as it went the distance. Many boxing pundits expected ‘The Bronze Bomber’ to finish Fury in the initial rounds of the slugfest. However, to everyone’s surprise, the Brit survived against Wilder.

Moving further, the heavyweight duo met again in February 2020. This time it was all about ‘The Gypsy King’ smothering Wilder. Right from the first gong, Fury went ahead with his assault and gave the Alabama native a beating of his life.

After dropping Wilder multiple times in the fight, ‘The Gypsy King’ finally finished him in round 7 with a vicious T/KO. Ever since then, the ex-champ hasn’t stepped inside the squared circle. But with his above comments, it seems Wilder is ready to roar and stagger the vast combat sports audiences.

Deontay Wilder preparing to finish Tyson Fury?

Wilder is one of the hard-hitting heavyweights of the modern era. He has an exemplary 93.18% knockout ratio. This is due to his desire to finish every opponent with his dynamite-like right hands.

And considering the fire that he has for this trilogy bout, it’s unquestionable that Wilder will look to finish Tyson Fury this time.

However, achieving the same won’t be too easy for ‘The Bronze Bomber’, and he’ll have to dig in deep to leave the ring as champ. With that, it’ll be intriguing to see how he presents himself in this fight.
