UFC heavyweight Ciryl Gane improved to 9-0 as a professional after winning a unanimous decision over Alexander Volkov. ‘Bon Gamin’ headlined his second straight UFC event, and he’s proving that he’s a force to be reckoned with. Gane has put together a solid run in the UFC despite just having 9 fights in his entire MMA career.

Gane managed to win all the rounds in the eyes of most fans before the scorecards were read, and his dominance was evident. Alexander Volkov couldn’t really get anything going and Gane showed why he was such a highly-touted prospect. He chose the right time to be aggressive and the right time to be patient, thus netting him a win.

Stipe Miocic is the name that’s been making the rounds as Gane has now reached the very top of the division. Francis Ngannou already has his future assignments next, and it’s likely that his calendar will be swarmed for a while. Facing Miocic will be the ultimate litmus test for Gane who will want to put his stamp on the fight.

Stylistically, both Gane and Miocic are measured strikers who layout traps in that particular phases. Not to mention, Miocic has faced an entire stable of top-tier UFC fighters and he’ll be keen to bounce back from his loss to Ngannou. Defeating a healthy version of Stipe Miocic will be nothing short of brilliant for Ciryl Gane.

Stipe Miocic is considered the best heavyweight to ever compete in MMA across all eras. Additionally, there are many questions about his viability as a contender. If he’s able to ward off another dangerous contender Miocic will probably for a week. All in all, it’s the fight to make considering that no one else no sorts out a scene as he does.
