Despite Loss vs Bucks, Trae Young Shows His Brilliance To Join LeBron James in Unique Playoff Record
The Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks continue to make this series more interesting with every game. And if there is one player who is most responsible for everyone’s entertainment, it’s Trae Young.
The Milwaukee Bucks may be leading the series now with their recent victory in Game 3, but they are yet to figure out how to contain Young. However, Young is on an early path to glory and is doing it by setting unique records left and right.
Atlanta Hawks superstar
Unlike the first game, the winner for Game 2 was very clear in the first half itself. The Milwaukee Bucks did a brilliant job in throttling the Hawks with their 125-91 victory. Unfortunately, Young was unable to put up a prime performance as he did in the first one.
He recorded only 15 points in Game 2, whereas he had a stellar 48-point performance in the first one. He was back at it again in the third game with 35 points more. If the Hawks have come this far, it’s because of him. They have managed to defeat the best teams in the Eastern Conference and are going head-to-head with the Bucks as well.
Another one of Young’s great scoring nights was Game 3, in which he put up 35 points on the scoreboard. As per ESPN State & Info, “Trae Young now has 8 30-point games this postseason, tying LeBron James for the 2nd-most in a single postseason by a player at age 22 or younger. Amar’e Stoudemire had 11 30-point games in 2005.”

Trae Young headed for stardom
When a player as young as Trae is able to place his name next to one of the NBA’s greatest, like LeBron James, he is headed in the right direction. And this isn’t the first time he is doing it either.
His 48 points in Game 2 had him tie with Bron for the most points by a 22-year-old in a Conference or Division Finals. LeBron had done it back in 2007 Game 5 of the Conference Finals against Detroit Pistons.
Trae Young finished with 48 points, tying LeBron James for the most by a player at age 22 or younger in a Conference or Division Finals game.
