Why is Love Island not on tonight?

Best make other plans (Picture: ITV)

Love Island is back and with it, we get the comfort of not having to make a plan at 9pm for two months.

However, for any of you hoping to cuddle up on the sofa to watch the recoupling tonight, we have bad news.

Love Island is not on Saturday nights, marking the one night where we don’t get a dose of drama, heartbreak and awkward kissing noises.

And it’s not just because of the football, as it is in keeping with previous series.

The ITV2 dating show skips every Saturday night and airs the other six nights of the week at 9pm.

Instead, an ‘unseen bits’ episode will air at 10pm, airing funny moments that didn’t make the edit earlier in the week.

Fans will have to wait until Sunday night to see the fallout from new girl Rachel Finni’s entrance, after the bombshell joined the villa in the closing seconds of Friday’s installment.

After the recoupling, Brad McClelland and Chuggs Wallis were left single, and Rachel has been informed that she must couple up with one of them.

The boy she doesn’t choose will be sent packing, so the stakes are high.

If you’re panicking about what to do tonight without Iain Stirling dramatically saying ‘tonight…’ at 9pm, there’s plenty to watch on the box instead.
