Body of Enrique Cortez-Dubon, 6, who went missing on vacation in Florida is found on a beach

THE body of Enrique Cortez-Dubon, 6, was found on a beach in Florida after the boy went missing during a family vacation.

The Georgia boy’s body was found on Tuesday, a day after a wide-scale search was launched in an effort to locate him.

The boy was found about 1.5 miles from where he was last spotted near Surf Drive in Panama City Beach.

The city announced that the boy’s body had been found in a tweet on Tuesday night.

“We are saddened to report the body of 6-year-old Enrique Cortez-Dubon has been recovered between public beach accesses 21 and 22 on Surf Drive,” the post said.

“This is approximately 1.5 miles east of where he was last seen more than 24 hours ago. Our condolences go to the family.”
