Jake Paul Berates Conor McGregor Following TKO Loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264
The high-class trilogy between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier ended in the most tragic fashion. The fight between the two ended after the first round itself because the Irishman broke his ankle abruptly. Many expected this fight to be a sheer war and a huge chunk of fans believed McGregor would turn things around. However, he failed to do so.
But despite ending up on the losing vertical, McGregor still showcased some sublime striking before Poirier took him to the canvas. As a result, ‘The Diamond’ turned the tide in his favor and McGregor pinned himself on the receiving end of a huge backlash.

This is not the first time when ‘The Problem Child’ has mocked ‘The Notorious’. In the past too, he hasn’t left a single opportunity to get onto the Irishman’s nerves.

Moving further, McGregor entered his trilogy with Poirier, with some astonishing confidence. In fact, he held major control of the octagon in the initial few minutes of the fight. He landed some slick kicks and even got his fair and share moments in the octagon.

But ‘The Diamond’ had an upper hand with his ground and pound game, and this didn’t go well in the Irishman’s favor. Also, the moment he broke his ankle, McGregor voluntarily went down to the canvas, and it was evident that he couldn’t fight more.
What’s next for Conor McGregor?
‘The Notorious’ put in some tremendous amount of hard work for his trilogy war against Poirier, yet he viciously lost this cracking bout. He was highly optimistic if claiming a win in this fight, thus fighting for the lightweight strap, eventually.

However, McGregor’s injury seems serious and he might have to dedicate an extensive amount of time to recover from the same.
That said, the Irishman should undoubtedly focus on recovering well and quickly. Post then, he should look ahead to stage another massive fight with any else in the contention.
