Hamilton, Norris & Russell React to England’s Heartbreaking Loss to Italy at EURO 2020

Football did not come home on Sunday. The English Football team despite taking an early lead in the Euro Cup Final could not bring the trophy home. They lost 3-2 on penalties to the Italian Football team after both teams finished 1-1 in normal time. Lewis Hamilton and other F1 drivers showed their support for the three lions.

The loss was heartbreaking for many English fans including some British F1 drivers. Lando Norris, who was present at Wembley to watch the game live, was disappointed after the loss.

The young Brit took to Instagram to commensurate the occasion and showed the English team his support. He stated that he is proud of the team for their achievement of reaching the final.

Hamilton and Russell extend their support to the English Football team

7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton took to social media extended his support to the English Football team. He posted a heartbreak emoji on his Insta Story to let out his feelings on the England loss.

Hamilton stated,” Damn proud of you guys.” while praising the English team.

Williams driver George Russell also showered praises to English players on their journey to the finals on his Instagram.

“ Proud of you boys. Keep your heads high,” said Russell.

While all the British Formula One drivers moaned the loss of England, an Italian in the F1 paddock rejoiced as Italy brought the trophy to Rome. Alfa Romeo driver Antonio Giovinazzi was delighted with the victory of the Italian Football team and took to social media to express his emotions.

Can Lewis win at Silverstone to put a smile on British fans?

Lewis Hamilton has won the British Grand Prix 7 times in his career. He would love to make it 8 wins at Silverstone on Sunday. The victory could also bring back the smiles of British fans to see a local winner after heartbreak in Football.

The weekend is important for the Mercedes driver as he looks to stop the winning streak of Red Bull and Max Verstappen. And get his championship campaign back on track.
