Loki episode 6: Does Marvel series finale have deleted scene? Fans baffled as key Loki variant is nowhere to be seen

Warning: major spoilers ahead for Loki episode 6.

Episode 6 of Marvel series Loki answered many of our questions when it dropped on Disney Plus… with the finale also spawning a mystery concerning a possible deleted scene.

After Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) managed to make their way through the Void, they meet an individual known as ‘He Who Remains’, who is actually Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), the person who’s been in charge of the TVA (Time Variance Authority) all along.

Before the finale was released, there were some people who thought that it may turn out to be another Loki variant in the hot seat, as teaser clips of the series showed a scene where a King Loki appears to sit on a throne.

However, not only did this prediction not come to pass – but King Loki was nowhere to be seen at all in the show.

Several Marvel fans expressed their confusion over the omission of the scene, which showed the God of Mischief lording over his subjects in a throne room that seemed to take inspiration from Asgard.

‘Where. Is. KING. LOKI ! WE SAW HIM IN THE TRAILER !’ person tweeted.

‘CAN THEY RELEASE THESE SCENES LIKE WHAT HAPPENED TO KING LOKI VARIANT,’ another said.

Someone else asked: ‘Where did this scene go?.. i was waiting for king loki like what.’

So all in all, there’s a lot of confusion over the possibly deleted scene.

Nonetheless, there is a glimmer of hope, as the post-credits scene revealed that season two of Loki is officially on the way.

Perhaps this means that King Loki will have to wait for season two? If this is the case, then what a tease!

At the end of Loki, Sylvie banishes Loki back to the TVA before killing Kang.

When Loki arrives back at the headquarters of the organisation, not only does he heartbreakingly learn that Mobius M Mobius (Owen Wilson) no longer remembers who he is, but a statue of Kang has replaced the one that previously represented the fictitious Time-Keepers.

This spells disaster for season two of Loki – not to mention the multiverse of madness that looms around the corner.
