Alfa Romeo F1 Boss Reveals Actual Timeline for Raikkonen’s 2022 Decision
Kimi Raikkonen is in his 21st season in Formula One. The Finn made his F1 debut in 2000. But with every race, it looks like the sharpness in Kimi’s driving is deteriorating. He crashed with Sebastian Vettel at the last lap of the Austrian Grand Prix when the German was clearly ahead of the Finnish driver.
It is anybody’s guess whether Kimi would leave or stay in the sport next season. But Alfa Romeo team principal Fred Vasseur has come out to mention that he would not make any decisions on drivers before the summer break.

Antonio Giovinazzi’s pace is going up according to Alfa Romeo team principal
Vasseur also commented on the progress of Raikkonen’s teammate Antonio Giovinazzi. The Italian has been performing better in qualifying than Kimi but on Sundays, Kimi’s experience is too much for Gio.
“He’s improving, the pace is going up, but we always want to get more and I’m always pushing them,” said Vasseur.

“It’s my job. I think one of the issues of Antonio so far was he was far too much into the comparisons with Kimi. Now he’s able to take the lead on some of the decisions and say, ‘okay, I want to do this’. And for him, it was a step.” said Fred.
Will Kimi be in F1 in 2022? Let us know.
