Megan Fox has decided to clear the air after coming under fire for referring to former President Donald Trump as ‘a legend’, saying she doesn’t ‘align herself with any political party’.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she described being sat in the same area as other celebs at a UFC event in Las Vegas, including singer Justin Bieber, and revealed he had a huge entourage of secret service personnel around him. Trump, not Biebs.

The Jennifer’s Body star said: ‘I was in a row with Bieber, and Trump was also in my row. He had, like, 30 Secret Service with him.

‘He was a legend. That arena was very supportive of Trump when he came in.’

Megan confessed she was woried about being near to the political figure because ‘if someone is a target then I’m like, I could be harmed because I’m adjacent to where he is. So I was worried about my own safety, that’s all I was caring about. But yeah, I’ve never seen anything like that before. It was crazy.’

Her choice of the word ‘legend’ was criticised on social media to the point she felt she had to explain herself.

In a statement on her Instagram Stories the star insisted she ‘never said Donald Trump is a legend’.

‘Uhmmm…I do not align myself with any political party or individual politicians,’ she began.

‘I never said Donald Trump is a legend. I said he was a legend…in that arena (key part of the sentence).

‘The arena was filled with UFC fight fans, many of them clearly Republican based off the insane crowd reaction he received walking into the T-Mobile venue.’

The Transformers star went on: ‘That was an observable fact. Not my opinion.

‘Really loving this uneducated, mid-evil, pitch fork carrying, burn the witch at the stake mentality though. The world needs more of that.’

She added emoji of a purple heart, sparkles and lips just for extra effect. Like it.
