Kit Harington has channeled his inner helpless romantic in the first trailer for Modern Love season two, and we’re here for it.

The new clip gives a taste of the eight true stories being recreated for the new season, which is set to arrive on Amazon Prime on August 13.

Game Of Thrones star Kit makes his TV return in the role, taking centre stage in a tender romance for the modern age.

His story sees him meet the girl of his dreams, played by Lucy Boynton, by chance on a train and agree to meet up two weeks later.

Only, the pair don’t exchange numbers, and their meeting happens just before the Covid pandemic hits.

The clip shows him discussing the problem with his flatmate, who asks: ‘Why don’t you text her?’

‘I don’t have her number… We arranged to meet on the train two weeks from now,’ he replies.

Another storyline sees a couple meet at a party, with Gbenga Akinnagbe’s character worried about coming across as a ‘gross late-night guy’.

Another sees The Crown star Tobias Menzies tell someone: ‘I just spent the night with the woman of my dreams… I used to be married to her.’

‘Love exists in all forms,’ the voiceover says in the clip.

Kit will star alongside the likes of Tom Burke, Anna Paquin, Miranda Richardson and Minnie Driver in the second season.

The Amazon anthology series is made up of standalone episodes telling the story of different relationships. The show is based on the weekly New York Times column of the same name.

Modern Love season one featured the likes of Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey, Andy Gardia, Dev Patel, Andrew Scott and Cristin Milotti and aired in 2019.
