The greatest show on earth, the Olympics, is all set to commence in Tokyo this month. Despite the doubts and concerns surrounding the quadrennial event, senior officials are expecting the summer games to go ahead according to schedule. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the complications surrounding the seemingly never-ending virus meant that the Tokyo Olympics 2020-21 was under threat of being postponed further.

But after exhausting work from the people Japanese capital, the games are going ahead as planned. But this year’s games are under the global spotlight which amplifies any small incident that is shared on social media. In this case, the trending topic for the week was the beds at the Olympics village.

Earlier reports this week from multiple media outlets claimed that the cardboard beds that were made for athletes are ‘anti-sex’ beds. There were rumoured to be unsteady and weak. However, Irish gymnast Rhys McClenaghan put up a video (as seen above) on social media wherein he was seen jumping and testing the rigidity of the bed to quash these rumors.

However, that did not stop people from across the globe from reacting to this hilarious development. One of them was popular American talk show host, Jimmy Fallon.
