Love Island 2021: Millie Court and Liam Reardon could have crossed paths in 2018 in incredible coincidence

So far on Love Island 2021, one of the most loved-up couples has been Millie Court and Liam Reardon, whose attraction was instantaneous when they met for the first time.

The pair have gone from strength to strength on the show, recently going on a special date outside the villa which left them both grinning from ear to ear.

However, their love story could have started three years ago, as Love Island sleuths discovered that they were both in the same location just a few days apart.

On September 12 2018, Millie shared a picture of herself on Instagram in a stunning bedazzled swimsuit and a black robe, tagging her location as O Beach Ibiza as she wrote in the caption: ‘I want to go back to yesterday.’

Five days later, Liam posted a photo of himself with a friend at the very same beach resort, enjoying a drink as he stood by the pool.

While we can’t know for sure if Millie and Liam were at O Beach Ibiza on the exact same days that they shared their post, one can’t help but think that if Millie had gone a few days later or Liam had gone a few days earlier, that they could have crossed paths, catching each other’s eyes across the pool.

Several Love Island viewers are huge fans of Millie and Liam as a couple, despite the fact that they haven’t been directly involved in some of the more dramatic moments in the villa.

‘Liam and Millie are so unproblematic I love them,’ one person tweeted.

‘Nothing much just an appreciation post for the most underrated couple in the villa Millie and Liam,’ someone else wrote.

Another person said that Millie and Liam ‘deserve more screen time’, while someone else remarked that if the couple end up splitting as a result of Casa Amor, they’ll be ‘devastated’.

During Friday evening’s show, it was confirmed that Casa Amor is making its highly-anticipated return, which means that the boys and girls will be split into separate villas, where they’ll meet new islanders who could tempt them out of their current couples.

It’s been rumoured that American footballer Medhy Malanda might be brought into Casa Amor to shake things up in the villa, while it’s also been reported that former Love Island star Chris Hughes’ ex-girlfriend Mary Bedford may be making her grand entrance.

Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and is available to watch on ITV Hub.
