Tom Zanetti has remembered his late girlfriend, Elizabeth Rose Picakavance, on what would have been her birthday.
The DJ shared a heartfelt tribute on Saturday alongside a photo of his former girlfriend, affectionately known as Lizzie.
Lizzie died in August 2010 at the age of 20 in a car crash as she drove home from work in Manchester.
To mark her birthday on July 30, Tom wrote: ‘Happy Birthday Elizabeth Rose Pickavance. We all miss you, will always love you and forever wish I could have seen how you grown into the perfect lady with each year older.’
‘Memories can’t be taken,’ he added.
Lizzie is said to have crashed into a tree while driving along the M62 near Gildersome 11 years ago. She was rushed to hospital but doctors were unable to save her. Coincidentally, it was the same stretch of motorway where Tom’s grandfather died in 2009.
Tom has been open about his grief from Lizzie’s death and wrote in an Instagram post in 2016: ‘I don’t want to go into detail on how or give a big emotional speech because everyone who knew her and who knows me and my family knows how bad we miss her and she is very loved everyday…

‘So many things always pop up to show me her beautiful spirit is still around. Losing someone you love is the worst most helpless feeling you can ever experience, but take it from me after losing many people I care about – in time it does get easier to cope with and u will learn to deal with and accept it.’
The 32-year-old continued: ‘You will be able to smile thinking of the amazing memories they gave you and the times you spent together. You will think of the lessons they taught u and the affect they had on you as a person rather than dwelling on the pain that they are gone…
‘It’s not easy and the pain won’t ever leave but anyone u lose who loved you would want you smiling I think. So smile if you can. God bless you Lizzie, you will always be in our hearts and on our minds xxxx Thankyou for everything.’
In 2018, Tom revealed that the deaths of Love Island star Sophie Gradon and her boyfriend Aaron Armstrong triggered painful memories for him, reminding him of Lizzie’s death.
