Aston Martin Clap Back at Ferrari for Throwing an Apparent Shade at Vettel

Aston Martin’s Sebastian Vettel has been disqualified from the Hungarian Grand Prix after securing a P2 finish at Hungaroring. The FIA ruled out the German after the stewards could only get 0.3 liters of fuel from his Aston Martin AMR21. And according to the rules, drivers must ensure a minimum of 1-liter fuel to be available in their cars which can be taken from their machinery at any time during the event.

The four-time world champion disqualification means that both Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz inherited the second and third place, respectively.

Carlos Sainz secured his second podium for his new team this season. And to share this news with their fans, Scuderia Ferrari, discredited Sebastian Vettel who spent seven years with the Maranello-based team.

Ferrari demeaned Sebastian Vettel

Following Carlos Sainz’s second podium for the Italian team after Monaco GP, Ferrari took the opportunity to inform their fans about the Spaniard achievement. Surprisingly, the Reds didn’t even bother to mention the name of their former driver.

In the tweet shared by Scuderia Ferrari’s official Twitter account, they wrote: “Carlos Sainz has been promoted to third following the disqualification of second-place finisher.” Responding to the Ferrari tweet, Aston Martin shared a GIF of the German which says: “I’m Sebastian Vettel”.

Aston Martin to appeal Vettel’s disqualification at Hungarian GP

After the disqualification of Sebastian Vettel from the Hungarian GP, Aston Martin are all set to appeal the elimination of the German at Budapest. The Silverstone-based team announced their intention to appeal the disqualification.

The FIA document reads“The stewards have received a Notice of Intention of Appeal from Aston Martin Cognizant F1 Team (“Aston Martin”) at 22:14 hours on 1st August 2021 against stewards’ decision No 59.”

“In this context, the FIA technical department representatives were asked by the stewards to seal and impound car 5 until such time as the Notice of Appeal is received or the FIA International Court of Appeal makes any determinations as relevant.”
