It might be the first Valentine’s Day spent in lockdown but celebrities are still feeling the love on the most romantic day of the year.

Victoria and David Beckham led the way with sweet love letters to each other or, in this digital age, social media captions.

The former Spice Girls singer posted a throwback photo from their wedding reception where they wore matching purple outfits.

She wrote: ‘Happy Valentine’s Day 💜 I love you so much! You are the best husband and most amazing daddy 💕💕@davidbeckham x kisses.’

David also shared a selfie of Victoria snuggled into his shoulder and said: ‘Happy Valentines to the most amazing mummy and the most inspiring wife.. I love you so much @victoriabeckham ❤️ ( we love you so much ) @brooklynbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven ❤️❤️❤️❤️.’

Kate and Rio Ferdinand fully embraced the romantic mood and wore matching red pyjamas and decorated their home with red heart balloons.

However, they were outshone by their newborn son Cree, who wore an adorable onesie covered with love hearts.

‘Happy Valentine’s Day 💜 I love you so much! You are the best husband and most amazing daddy 💕💕@davidbeckham x kisses,’ Kate said.

After being treated to breakfast from his doting wife, Rio added in his own post: ‘What a start to #valentines day. If ya missus ain’t on making you breakfast then you need to up ya game!!! Chop chop tho…😂 Love you ❤️ @xkateferdinand.’

Former Radio 1 presenter Fearne Cotton shared a sweet selfie of her kissing husband Jesse Wood and wrote in the most heartwarming message: ‘Thanks for loving me even when I’m a cow/haven’t slept well/ate all the ombars in the fridge you bought for yourself. Celebrating the times we left the house and did stuff. Love you Jeff @jessejameswood.

‘Today I’m celebrating all the love in my life. The family, the friends, the special people who turned up later down the line, the ones I can’t see or hug. I feel calm and buzzy thinking about all the people I love. When this shit is over I’m off on a hug-a-thon.

‘What sort of love are you celebrating today? ♥️ also if you can head over to @happyplaceofficial and watch our little self love stories film. It made me cry my eyes out! It features some of the HP community in all their beauty.’

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan shared a tribute to his wife Celia and quipped: ‘On Valentine’s Day, my best romantic tip is to find someone who shares your eating habits. #NoVegansInThisHouse.’

There’s already been a Valentine’s Day birth – congrats to Louis Smith – and bets are on for a celebrity engagement or two.
