Yeezy Supply DOWN as furious sneaker fans ‘accused of being bots’
SNEAKER fanatics are fuming after the app and website selling the latest Yeezy sneakers crashed for shoppers across the globe.
The outage on Tuesday has left cash-flushed customers unable to buy the latest pairs of Adidas Yeezys, which are made in collaboration with rap megastar Kanye West.

Visitors to the hugely popular website are met with an error message that blames a “security issue” for the downtime.
Users are reporting on social media that they’re also unable to access the shoes through the Adidas and Yeezy apps.
“Please try refreshing or accessing our website from a different browser or another device,” the error message reads.
“If this does not help, the issue might be caused by malware.”
It’s not clear precisely what’s causing the website and app issues, or how long it could last for.
The Sun has reached out to Adidas for comment.
The outage is pretty poorly timed for Adidas Yeezy. The brand is in the midst of Yeezy Day, an annual event in which it releases new snealers.
Are bots to blame?
On social media, fans blasted Adidas Yeezy, calling Yeezy Day a “flop”.
One Twitter user wrote: “Wow this yeezy day is a flop app is down certain drops not showing one drop per hour like who has time #YeezyDay”.
A second said: “Damn I think y’all did a terrible job with yeezy day. I ain’t get 1 yeezy. Not 1. Not between both of your apps or yeezy supply. Letting the sneaker community down.”
Fans have blamed the outage on “bots” – automated software designed to buy up sought-after sneakers in bulk.
Tech whizzes who operate the software, known as scalpers, then flog the shoes on reseller sites at hugely inflated prices.
One person fumed: “It’s a shame that u rather sell ya products to robots instead of ya loyal fans. Yeezy day was the worse ever.”
They said they’d waited all day to get hold of some new kicks only to get a no from multiple sites and apps.
What are Yeezys?
Adidas Yeezy is a collaboration between German sportswear company Adidas and American rapper Kanye West.
The name comes from Kanye West’s nickname Ye.
The sought-after sneakers and clothing pieces have become incredibly famous and are often sported by celebrities, including everyone from the Kardashians to Justin Bieber.

What is Adidas Yeezy day?
Adidas Yeezy day is a day of releases and restocks of the Adidas Yeezy collection.
The first Yeezy Day event took place in August 2019 and has become a staple event in any sneakerhead’s calendar.
Avid fans have been looking forward to Yeezy day 2021, as the brand’s trainers have become notoriously difficult to get hold of.
The event went live on August 2nd in the United States and August 3rd in the EU and China.
New releases and restocks have available on the app on an hourly basis since 7 a.m. ET.
What Yeezy sneakers have been released?
Some of the sneakers which have already been released include the YEEZY Boost 700 MNVN Black, YEEZY 700 V3 Dark Glow, and YEEZY 500 Soft Vision.
The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 was available in the colourways Tail Light, Zebra, Synth RF, and Glow – and almost all of them sold out immediately.
The OG Wave Runner also sold out in seconds. The Yeezy Quantum also hit the app.
Yeezy 700 V3 are yet to be released and can be bought on the Adidas Confirmed app.
