Addison Rae’s acting debut is officially on its way, with the trailer for He’s All That dropping – and it looks…interesting.

The TikTok star plays Padgett, a social media obsessed high schooler who finds her not-so-perfect boyfriend cheating on her, while she’s livestreaming.

Humiliated and heartbroken, she decides to build a boyfriend, with her friends selecting outcast Cameron Kweller (Tanner Buchanan).

‘I will create the next Prom King!’ Padgett declares.

To everyone’s (literally no one’s) amazement, Cameron turns out to be moderately handsome and to actually be able to hold a conversation. Who’d have thought?!

But, when he founds out he’s been part of a bet, Cameron’s not exactly happy.

Basically, it’s got everything you could want in a teen rom-com. A makeover! Betrayal! An electropop cover of Kiss Me!

Also Kourtney Kardashian is there. Because why not?

We can’t promise it’ll live up to the Freddie Prinze Jr classic, but we’re definitely hyped – especially since it’s helmed by Mean Girls and Freaky Friday director Mark Waters.

Netflix announced that He’s All That will be released on the platform later this month, premiering on August 27 – so fans don’t have long to wait.

The original 1999 film is still well-loved, and followed popular jock Zack Siler (Freddie) make a bet with best friend Dean Sampson (Paul Walker) that he can turn any girl into a prom queen in just a few days.

Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook) was the chosen girl, and naturally turned from an ‘ugly duckling’ to a swan throughout the course of the film.

The reboot will see OG star Rachael make a cameo as Padgett’s mum, but her character will not have any connections to her previous role.
